# EV Charger Black Friday 2026: What Last Year's Sales Looked Like
Updated October 24, 2026 By [EV Charger Reviews Editorial Team](https://evchargerreviews.com/about/) [How we research](https://evchargerreviews.com/how-we-research/)

Prices are approximate and change often, so check the current price before you buy.

## Key takeaways

- We have not verified any 2026 Black Friday EV charger offers. Nothing here is a 2026 price.
- 9to5Toys reported on November 26, 2025 that the Tesla Universal Wall Connector held a $50 cut at $600 on Amazon during Black Friday Week.
- The same report said the Universal's price had risen to $650 earlier in 2025, and that the standard Wall Connector stayed at $450.
- Peak EV Solutions reported 2025 Amazon savings on Autel and Lectron chargers and Home Depot markdowns on ChargePoint models.
- Judge a deal against the regular price and recent lows. The charger is only part of the cost, since installation is separate.

This guide has not verified any Black Friday 2026 EV charger offers. Nobody outside the manufacturers and retailers knows what Tesla, ChargePoint, Autel, Lectron or Amazon will do this year, and last year’s sales are a record of what happened rather than a forecast. What we do have is a dated record from November 2025: a report on Tesla’s chargers on Amazon, and a tracker that named the other brands that were discounted. This page lays those out, explains what they do and do not tell you, and gives you a method for judging a deal when one appears. Every figure below is a 2025 figure. Check today’s price before you buy.

## What did EV chargers cost on Black Friday 2025?

The best-dated price record we have is for Tesla. On November 26, 2025, [9to5Toys reported](https://9to5toys.com/2025/11/26/tesla-universal-wall-connector-600/) that Tesla’s Universal Wall Connector held a $50 cut at $600 during Amazon’s Black Friday Week sale. The same report said the price had risen to $650 earlier in 2025, and that the standard Wall Connector stayed at $450.

| Charger | Price reported | Context | Reported |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Tesla Universal Wall Connector | $600 | $50 cut during Amazon’s Black Friday Week; $650 earlier in 2025 | Nov 26, 2025 |
| Tesla Wall Connector (standard) | $450 | Stayed at this price; no cut reported | Nov 26, 2025 |

For other brands we have the shape of the sales but no prices. Peak EV Solutions published its [2025 Black Friday tracker](https://peakevsolutions.com/black-friday-deals-for-ev-chargers-2025/) on October 30, 2025. It reported Amazon savings on Autel and Lectron chargers and Home Depot markdowns on ChargePoint models. We are not going to put numbers on those, because we do not have a dated price for any specific model from that source. 9to5Toys also ran a [2025 Black Friday green deals hub](https://9to5toys.com/2025/11/28/black-friday-green-deals-hub-evs-power-stations-tools-and-appliances/) covering EVs and charging, published on November 28, 2025, which is a useful place to see how an outlet gathered those deals in one spot. We have not reproduced its prices.

## What do those numbers tell you?

Three things, and each is a caution as much as a guide.

The headline discount was modest. A $50 cut on a $650 charger is about 8 percent, and $600 was the price the Universal held, not a collapse from list. If you were hoping for a half-off charger, last year’s most-documented example does not support that expectation. A charger is a ten-year appliance, so a modest saving is still worth taking, but it is not worth rushing a wrong purchase to catch.

The price had moved before the sale. The report said the Universal had risen to $650 earlier in 2025. That means $600 was lower than a recent price but is not necessarily a historic low. A sale price is only meaningful relative to what the product was selling for just before. It is a good illustration of why you should record the price yourself in the weeks before a sale.

Not every model was discounted. The standard Wall Connector stayed at $450 in that report. Even a brand with a sale can leave a specific model alone, so waiting on a particular charger is a bet rather than a certainty.

One more point from the tracker: the savings were spread across retailers. Autel and Lectron were on Amazon, and ChargePoint was marked down at Home Depot. Where a deal appears depends on the brand, so compare retailers instead of checking only one.

## How do the two Tesla models compare?

The 9to5Toys prices allow one like-for-like comparison. At the $600 sale price, the Universal cost $150 more than the standard Wall Connector’s $450, about 33 percent more. At the $650 it had risen to earlier in the year, the gap was $200, about 44 percent. The $50 cut narrowed the premium without removing it, and the standard model stayed the cheaper charger before and during the sale.

That framing is more useful than the discount itself. The question is whether the Universal is worth about a third more to you, not whether $600 is good in the abstract. Our [Tesla comparison](https://evchargerreviews.com/posts/tesla-wall-connector-vs-chargepoint-home-flex-vs-grizzl-e/) covers what separates the models. A sale narrows the price gap but does not change which charger fits your car and home.

## What do list price and street price mean here?

A list price is the figure a maker publishes. A street price is what the product sells for at a retailer on a given day, and the two can differ. The Universal shows this: it had risen to $650 earlier in 2025, the “$50 off” is measured from that figure, and $600 was the street price during Black Friday Week. The standard Wall Connector shows the other side. It stayed at $450, so a shopper looking for a sale badge would have seen nothing, while one who had recorded $450 beforehand would have known it was unchanged and could have bought without waiting.

A struck-through “was” price on a listing is not evidence of a past price. Only a price you wrote down, or one in a dated report like those cited here, is. If you cannot match a high reference figure to a dated source, do not trust the percentage.

## When do EV charger sales usually start?

Based on the dated sources we have: Peak EV Solutions published its tracker on October 30, 2025, nearly a month before Black Friday on November 28. 9to5Toys’ Tesla report came on November 26, during what it called Amazon’s Black Friday Week, and its green deals hub came on November 28. Black Friday 2026 is November 27. That calendar makes the weeks before it the window to watch, but it does not tell us what any brand will do. Retailers can start earlier, end sooner or skip a product altogether.

The gaps are worth working out. Peak EV Solutions’ tracker came 29 days before Black Friday 2025, and the Tesla report came two days before it. The Tesla cut was part of Amazon’s Black Friday Week, so a sale can span several days, and a report can lag the sale it describes. Treat those intervals as a rough window to watch, not a schedule.

## How do I tell a real deal from a weak one?

Start with the regular price, not the discount. Choose the charger you want and note what it costs on Amazon today, before sales start. That is your baseline. A “was” price on a sale listing can be higher than what the charger recently sold for, and a percentage is only as honest as the number it is measured from.

Then check four things.

The recent low. The Tesla example shows why this matters. Against a recent $650, $600 was a cut. If the charger had normally been around $600, it would have been no deal at all. Look at how the price has behaved over recent months with a third-party Amazon price-history tracker. In practice, write down today’s price, the lowest price you can document recently, and the price just before the sale. A sale is a real saving only if it beats the second number. If today’s price is at or above the recent low, waiting costs little.

The connector and version. A charger at a low price is only a deal if it fits your car. NACS-only and dual-connector models are different products, and so are plug-in and hardwired versions. Our [NACS vs J1772 explainer](https://evchargerreviews.com/posts/nacs-vs-j1772-explained/) maps the options, and the standard and Universal Tesla models in this report are not interchangeable. Confirm the connector on the listing before buying. Treat any bundle or kit the same way: compare it with the charger-only price you recorded, and ask whether you need the extras.

Rebate and utility rules. Some utility programs require specific models. Check your utility’s list before you buy a charger because it is cheap. Our [installation cost and rebates guide](https://evchargerreviews.com/posts/level-2-ev-charger-installation-cost-rebates/) covers the gotchas.

The total cost. The charger is one piece. An electrician’s work is separate and is often the larger variable. Our installation guide puts a simple panel-adjacent install at $300 to $800, and long wire runs or panel work cost more. A $50 saving can be wiped out by choosing a model that needs a more expensive install. A $50 cut is about 6 percent of the $800 top of that range. Run our [panel capacity checker](https://evchargerreviews.com/tools/panel-capacity-checker/) before you decide, and see our [hardwired vs plug-in guide](https://evchargerreviews.com/posts/hardwired-vs-plug-in-ev-charger/) for the install trade-offs.

Check the warranty and seller too. Confirm who is selling the unit, what warranty the listing states and the return window. We have not verified the terms of any offer cited here. On an appliance meant to last a decade, warranty terms can matter more than $50.

## Which charger should I look at first?

Choose the charger for your car, panel and install first, then watch its price. Our [best Level 2 EV chargers of 2026](https://evchargerreviews.com/posts/best-level-2-ev-chargers-2026/) ranking covers the main options, and the [guide to choosing a Level 2 charger](https://evchargerreviews.com/posts/how-to-choose-a-level-2-ev-charger/) walks through the decision in order. The brands named in last year’s reports, with the models we cover:

- [Tesla Wall Connector](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BWSK35WH?tag=evchargerreviews.com-20): the standard model, reported at $450 the same day. [Full review](https://evchargerreviews.com/chargers/tesla-wall-connector-gen3/).

- [Autel MaxiCharger AC Home](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BDLQMR51?tag=evchargerreviews.com-20): Autel was named in the Amazon savings, though we do not know which model. [Full review](https://evchargerreviews.com/chargers/autel-maxicharger-ac-home/).

- [Lectron V-BOX Pro](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D2236JBD?tag=evchargerreviews.com-20): Lectron was named in the Amazon savings, though we do not know which model. [Full review](https://evchargerreviews.com/chargers/lectron-vbox-pro/).

- [ChargePoint Home Flex](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07WXZDHGV?tag=evchargerreviews.com-20): ChargePoint was named for Home Depot markdowns, though we do not know which models. [Full review](https://evchargerreviews.com/chargers/chargepoint-home-flex/).

For the Autel, Lectron and ChargePoint entries, the source named the brand, not the specific model. Do not assume the model we cover was one of the discounted ones. For a head-to-head on the Tesla and ChargePoint options, see our [Tesla vs ChargePoint vs Grizzl-E comparison](https://evchargerreviews.com/posts/tesla-wall-connector-vs-chargepoint-home-flex-vs-grizzl-e/).

## What should I do before Black Friday?

Pick the model, check the connector and install requirements, and write down today’s Amazon price. Check other retailers as well, since last year’s markdowns appeared at both Amazon and Home Depot. Set a number you would be happy to pay, based on the recent low rather than the biggest percentage on offer. Compare when the sale starts.

If you need a charger soon, because a car is arriving or you are scheduling an electrician, do not delay for a sale that may not appear. A fair price now is a reasonable purchase. If you can wait, you have lost little by tracking the price.

Buy now if the charger is near the lowest price you can document, if you are scheduling an install, or if it is a model that stayed flat last year, like the $450 Wall Connector. Wait if the price is above the recent low and your timeline allows a few weeks.

## What can we say about 2026?

Very little, and we would rather say that than guess. We have not seen any 2026 Black Friday EV charger prices announced, and we have not verified any retailer’s offer. Last year’s sales show that several brands and retailers have been willing to discount, and they show roughly when the coverage appeared. They do not show that any brand will do so again, at what depth, or on which models. We will update this page if we confirm offers, with dates and sources.

## Common questions

When are the deals? Black Friday is November 27, 2026. In 2025, Peak EV Solutions published its tracker on October 30 and 9to5Toys reported on Tesla’s Amazon price on November 26.

Which brands cut prices last year? Tesla (the Universal, by $50), Autel and Lectron on Amazon, and ChargePoint at Home Depot, per 9to5Toys and Peak EV Solutions.

Did the standard Tesla Wall Connector go on sale? In the report we cite, it stayed at $450.

Does the discount include installation? No. See our installation guide for costs.

## Bottom line

We have not verified Black Friday 2026 EV charger offers. Last year’s best-documented example was a $50 cut on Tesla’s Universal Wall Connector to $600 on Amazon, with the standard model unchanged at $450, plus brand-level savings at Amazon and Home Depot for Autel, Lectron and ChargePoint. None of that tells you what to expect this year. Know the regular price and the recent low, match the connector and install to your home, and compare any sale against those numbers rather than the badge.

### Does a Black Friday discount cover installation?
No. The discounts we cite are for the charger itself. An electrician's installation is a separate cost, and our installation guide covers it.
